Upgrading to Winegard Trav’ler Pro Upgrading from the original Trav’ler to Trav’ler Pro can be done in less than an hour! The Trav’ler Pro uses the same transition plate, communication cable, and power supply as the previous Trav’ler systems. Customers can upgrade without breaking any seals or running a new data cable. To upgrade, begin inside the coach: • Raise the antenna through the IDU • Power off the IDU • Remove the cables from the back of the IDU. Retaining nut Power coupler Power/ control cable Exterior nut Power/ control cable Retaining nut, power coupler Proceed to the roof to disconnect the coax and communication cables (under the access panel). Remove the transition plate from the new Trav’ler Pro turret and mount the turret to the existing mounted transition plate. Transition plate Once mounted, reconnect the coax and communication cable. Back inside the coach, reconnect the 48 VDC power cord and communication cable to the back of the new Trav'ler Pro IDU. With the IDU, enter “Service Mode” by pressing and holding the “Power” button for three seconds. Press the “Stow” button until the asterisk is next to “Service Mode.” Press “Power” to confirm your selection. Service Mode will raise the antenna, allowing you to return to the roof and install the Trav’ler Pro reflector. Once installed, press and hold the “Power” button for three seconds and enter “Normal Mode.” At this point the upgrade to Trav’ler Pro is complete and you are free to Stow or Search the system! 1. 2.
